How Much Energy Does A Boss Have?
Does anyone know how much energy a boss creature has? Is it depending on their level or is it just infinite?
I've seen a monk boss cast heal/prot spells continuously for 10 minutes without running out of energy...Is this normal? Thanks for any reply |

Its normal.
Enemy AI has weird energy numbers. Its hard to pindown - and you can't trust mesmer spells like Energy Burn. I've heard reports of Energy Burn not taking the max energy off (8) - but the enemy turning around and instantly casting a high energy cost spell right after they supposedly had no energy. Other monsters spam exhaustion spells with no regret. Its pretty safe to assume that Exhuastion doesn't effect them, and either they dont have defined energy pool, or their energy regen is so high, energy is never a problem. |

I'm pretty sure all NPCs have infinite energy.
One time in the Tomb of Primeval Kings I was playing an energy draining/interrupt ranger and kept taking more and more energy off of a ghost ele that was spamming stuff like fireball and firestorm, and interrupting them. It never stopped casting. He must have lost at least 500 energy from spells and my drains by the time he died. |

Most bosses DO have a limit to energy, but I heard/read that they have stupidly high regeneration when it comes to energy. Only way to shut them down from casting is interrupting and blacking them out I guess. |

They can run out of energy if they spam enough Exhaustion causing spells.

Go into Grenths Footprint and find Yakslapper - Attack each of his group in turn (but don't kill them) until he casts Life Attunement on each of his 4 party members. Now go and attack him. You will notice that he now casts orison of healing exactly every 15 seconds - pretty good evidence that he has 5 pips of energy regen.

They all have limited energy, except maybe for Mursaat..
Try putting Spirit Shackles (or whatever the skill which takes away 5 mana from attack was called) on a monk boss and let him attack. He will eventually run out of mana. |

Except special ones. Some bosses are famous for having stupidly high hp or hp regen. (this is too hidden)
As for energy - some bosses actually DO NOT get effected (it seems) in the least by spamming exhaustion skills (immune to exhaustion?). What is confirmed, is that they DO have a definate Energy pool. You can make them run out of energy. I tested just now on Zarnas Stonewrath. Didnt take any warriors, so he didnt use Teinei's Wind or Shockwave, just Gale/Stone Daggers/Aura. To make things simple. He used Gale like twice this time. It took him about a minute and a half (didnt stop watch it, just going off estimates) to use up his energy supply (waiting inbetween stone daggers shows this), and It took him like 2 secs to recharge up enough for stone daggers. |
